Learning and the Brain

The first source obtained for this week relating to learning and the brain retrieved at http://www.education.com/reference/article/theories-of-learning/.  The information in this article not only talks about the learning and the brain, but also gives a semi history of how various scientists have come to associate the brain with the learning skills of the individual(s) involved.  This website brings our assignment in resources to light as it talks about the concepts of learning, and in particular, the different types of learning.

The second source obtained for this week related to information processing retrieved at http://www.education.com/reference/article/information-processing-theory/.  The reason for choosing this is again the information is easy to understand for a layperson as myself.  This site goes more into the details of short-term memory (SM), the working memory (WM) and long-term memory (LM).  Other information located in this article is about encoding and retrieval, learning and cognitive strategies.
